STUDY TOUR REPORT 2018-2019
                        Botany Department of D.R.W .College III C.B.Z & III B.B.C 58 students along with 2 Teaching staff and 2 Non Teaching staff members, Went on a one day Study Tour On 02.02.2019 to
Krishi Vigyan Kendram&Vedagiri asramam S.P.S. R. Nellore, Botany staff members are Smt.P.Subbarathnamma Smt N.Varalakshmi.
                                   First we visited Horticulture Department. We observed 4 types of cultivations. Our guide was G. Narayana Swamy, Horticulture Research Associate, who explained nicely. Started with Orientation programme then practically explained, Land scape, Best seed line development of rice and pulses, Shade net cultivation, Acid lime Nursery garden cultivation, Mango plant cultivation, Lawn Cultivation, Home gardening, Cutting cultivation and also explained about mulching. The best Quality seeds and flowers are developed and supply to farmers.
                                  Mushroom cultivation was explained by Dr. M .Prathap; Research Associate, First conducted orientation class then experimentally explained. Two types of mushroom cultivation occurring at Krishi Vigyan Kendram, Oyster & Milky mushrooms. Oyster mushrooms durability is more than milky mushrooms, now oyster mushroom cultivation is happening. Mushroom processing technology training classes are conducted to interested farmers.
                              Vermicompost & Azolla cultivation explained by Dr. S. Tulasi lakshmi cultivated                                under shade. Azolla to increase soil fertility.
 Next to visit the Vedagiri Asramam near Narasimha konda .Swami Mahesh Anand Garu cultivated 500 medicinal plants in this Asramam .These medicinal plants are used in curring of different diseases.
