STUDY TOUR REPORT DEPARTMENT OF BOTANY

REPORT ON VISIT TO CIFAL HERBAL PVT. LTD

                  47 Students from both Botany and Zoology departments (B.Sc-B.Z.C/B.B.C) visited

CIFAL HERBAL PVT.LTD on 25.03.2017.

CIFAL HERBAL PVT.LTD are processing locally available citrus lime fruits and producing various byproducts like lime oil, lime juice, pectin,citrus fiber ect.They are also having three spray dryers to produce spray dried fruit juice powder and long tunnel dryer to process dehydrated fruits and vegetables .

                                The company has added a herbal processing unit which has five extractors, four concentrators, two bascket centrifuses,vaccume dryer and all related equipment to process herbal extracts as follows.

   The production supervisor explained the process in detailed and it was very useful for the students to practically see the process.

CIFAL HERBAL has also Good laboratory consisting of following analytical equipments.

2.SHIMADZU    GC

3.DOUBLE BEAM UV-VIS  

4.SPECTRO PHOTOMETER

The QC in charge has shown around the labs and it was very much beneficial for the students to learn lab technology.
