The meeting of the
Board of Studies in BOTANY of DUVVURU RAMANAMMA WOMEN’S COLLEGE (AUTONOMOUS) is
held in the college premises at 10.30 a.m. on 15.09.2015.

justification
MODIFICATIONS:
DELETIONS: No deletions
ADDITIONS:
Mushroom cultivation is added in unit V Fungi
JUSTIFICATION:
Mushroom cultivation is added as a new chapter because of its
growing popularity as a vegetarian food students can also benefit by taking of
mushroom cultivation as a career after graduation.
ADDITIONS: Algal chlorophyceae Volvox added
Justification: as all Algal specimens are filamentous forms .so we
have added chlorophyceae Coenobium form.

JUSTIFICATION:
Paleobotany unit V limited syllabus placed, so to cover this

In I semester Algae-chlorophyceae member –Volvox (colonial form) to
be included (only practical)
Practicals:
Practical examination every year 50 marks external and 50 marks for
internal with effect from 2015-2016 academic year .Question paper new Model may
be fallowed.
B.O.S Members Suggested Student Activities:
1.
Every student
collection of paper cuttings, journals, live specimens, model to be submitted
and recorded.
2.
Submission of
special articles related to the syllabus.
3.
Study of any plant
material particularly related to the human welfare.
4.
Submission of
classifications of all plant groups as per syllabus.
